Video-sharing social media app Omni.ai is all set to revolutionize the music industry through NFTs. A blockchain-based social media platform, Omni aims to share its profits with users.
“Omni is a never-been-done-before mega app, that’s full of world-class features and tools,” Omni says on its website.
What Omni brings to Music NFTs
The Omni mega app allows NFT music artists to easily create NFT sounds, mixes, songs, and bytes. Once the NFTs are created, the artists get buying, selling, and exchanging rights on each of their work. In addition, they can also track their royalties with ease, reported Bitcoin.com.
Moreover, when artists create music NFTs on Omni, their work can be identified and tracked. This adds a crucial ownership element to the piece of music or sound. This means that the work’s ownership will remain in the artist’s name, unless sold. As a result, music artists won’t be required to carry out copyright procedures to protect their music’s originality. Ultimately, the artists will be able to protect their work from any defamation or fraud.
Omni’s reward program
Omni aims to take social media apps to the next level. “Omni allows you to benefit from your use of our platform by sharing our financial benefits in the form of Omni Coins,” the app says on its website.
This means that every time a user creates a video, shares a post, or follows a content creator, they earn Omni Coins (OMNI). These coins can be used to purchase products from in-app stores, NFT platform, and ads platform, among others. Moreover, the coins are so designed to allow users to earn revenues as the platform grows.
Omni thus aims to bring decentralization to social media apps by giving the power back to users. While the app will be available on Android and iOS, the company is yet to announce a release date.
