You’ll be able to buy Solana NFTs on OpenSea in the near future! In a tweet titled “the best kept secret in web3”, the NFT marketplace announced that we can expect the Solana NFT integration in April.

Adding Solana NFTs to its marketplace means OpenSea will probably add compatibility for Phantom Wallet as well since it is the most used SOL wallet at present.
The integration would also mark another first in the history of NFT space. OpenSea will become the first platform that allows for the purchase and sale of SOL and ETH NFTs.

In addition, it would also expand the already massive market for Solana NFTs since OpenSea is the largest NFT marketplace by volume. Lastly, the integration is a move towards creating a marketplace for all NFTs on any blockchain.
This partnership between Solana and OpenSea is refreshing news from the NFT platform. Lately, OpenSea continues to face several issues. Just this month, OpenSea received criticism for delisting some NFT projects on their platform. The NFT community on Twitter even called the platform “centralized”. Moreover, a blockchain developer also discovered a fatal bug on the platform, but apparently, OpenSea refused to give a bounty.
Hopefully, as OpenSea adds new changes to its marketplace for the sake of its users, they also address the ongoing issues for the same reason.
