Yuga Labs’ Otherside Meta, on Tuesday, June 28, finally announced the launch date of “First Trip” to the Otherside. Slated to release on July 16, only Otherdeed holders are eligible to participate in the game demo. Currently, Otherside is conducting a survey to gather more details. Here’s what we know so far about Otherside Meta’s First Trip.
What is Otherside Meta’s First Trip?
Much to the delight of Otherside holders, Otherside Meta today announced the launch date of First Trip. It tweeted:
“Calling all Voyagers! Are you free for the First Trip on July 16th? Head to the official Otherside discord to answer a 2-question survey to help us with the headcount. Excited for you to explore, give feedback, and help us make the Otherside everything you want it to be.”
Otherside added that the survey will be live for only 48 hours on its official Discord server. On Discord, the project added, “If you don’t have an Otherdeed you will not be able to participate in the survey nor on the First Trip on July 16th since it’s for holders only.”
However, Otherside Meta is yet to announce more details on the upcoming First Trip. For now, all we know is that First Trip is the tech demo from the British metaverse technology company, Improbable. According to the Otherside website, First Trip is a “celebration of what’s to come and an opportunity for Voyagers to gather, explore, and plan.”
The announcement comes close on the heels of the ApeFest, BAYC’s NFT festival.
About Otherside
Otherside is Bored Ape Yacht Club’s own metaverse game. It dropped its first land sale, for “Otherdeeds”, in April this year. Priced at 305 APE each, 55,000 Otherdeeds sold out in a jiffy, raking in over $300 million at the time.
If you are a verified Otherdeed owner, you can head over to the “first-trip-survey” channel on the Otherside Discord to answer the questions. That said, the survey is “purely informational and not mandatory”.
