In partnership with the artist-led production studio, Accursed Share, acclaimed fashion photographer Frederic Auerbach is all set to release his exclusive NFT collection. The NFTs will feature his works with five A-lister celebrities, including ‘Euphoria’ fame Zendaya and boxing heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson. Celebrated Hollywood stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Natalie Portman, and Sharon Stone are the others on the list.
Furthermore, the NFTs come with exclusive interviews with Auerbach where he talks about his inspirations, planning, and various processes in the studio. With his first NFT drop, Auerbach is joining other photographers like Charles Peterson and Marius Sperlich who has released their NFTs.
All about Frederic Auerbach NFT collection
“The team at Accursed Share has been able to help construct a narrative around my work that truly emerges from the unique connections I’ve had with my subjects, connecting those stories to the form of the cryptoart, adding a unique technology angle that is augmenting and elevating my work in the new medium of NFT,” Auerbach tells NFTevening.
Frederic Auerbach’s NFT collection, indeed, offers more than just a piece of his exquisite works. For starters, it effortlessly blends art and technology to give holders a unique experience. Titled, “Captured Moment: The Master’s Process”, the collection is divided into ‘The Master Series’ and ‘The Process Series’.
The Master Series
The first, featuring each of the celebrities, comes with a slew of benefits. In addition to the high-resolution NFT of the original work, each NFT in the series will include an additional “dynamic NFT”. This piece will randomly display a different edit of the final work every few hours. Besides, auction winners will also get a high-resolution autographed print of the photograph. A video NFT of Auerbach’s behind-the-scenes interview is another perk.
“[Auerbach] was incredibly generous in sharing not just his pictures but his process with us, which he, of course, did in a very special way: like a magician would,” John Connor, Accursed Share’s CEO and Founder, tells NFTevening. “It is one thing to understand what goes into a performance; it is entirely another to know how to execute it, and that is where Frederic’s mastery—his taste, his subtlety and precision—come into play.”
Furthermore, Connor adds, “working proof” in art is likely to become significant in the NFT space. “Proof of work in progress can add value to collections that are not—or not exclusively—iterative but accretive and durational.”
That’s not all! A lucky auction winner will also get to participate in a private photoshoot with Auerbach in his Los Angeles Studio. A single session with the photographer costs over $12,000!
The Master Series will go live on December 17 on Accursed Share at a starting price of 3.0 ETH (around $13,000 at current prices). Additionally, to bid on the NFTs, one must hold a Process Series NFT.
Process Series NFTs
Now, the Process Series NFTs will be available for all fans and collectors participating in the studio’s whitelist referral program. The collection consists of a total of 1700 NFTs with six process photos of each of the high-profile celebrities. The thirty unique images will come in varying rarities, with the rarest NFT limited to just five in all. Moreover, the studio will also airdrop many of these NFTs for free to early whitelist subscribers!
This collection will go live on December 5 at 0.05 ETH per NFT. All Process NFT holders can also join Auerbach’s upcoming NFT and photography Discord group. The online community aims to bring together like-minded collectors interested in photography, NFTs, and the intersection of the two.

An artist-led production studio, Accursed Share focuses on using smart contract technology to take NFT art to new heights. Along with producing narrative-driven cryptoart, the platform aims to “unlock the creative potential of what is possible with smart contracts”. Moreover, it helps artists—even those without the technical know-how—to create multifaceted and dynamic NFTs.
“Accursed Share has two distinct prerogatives: to raise the bar for crypto-art and to lower its barriers to entry. Solve et coagula!” Mónica Belevan, Chief Concept Officer, Accursed Share, tells NFTevening.
In regards to the first, the Accursed Share studio works with artists who wish to work at the intersection of art and the various technological capabilities of Web3. For the second, the team is building a “no-code dynamic NFT platform”. This platform aims to help artists to create much more than the jpeg minting features of existing NFT platforms. To illustrate, NFTs created on the platform can “react to real-world data from various sources,” Belevan explains.
While the team is unable to reveal much about upcoming projects on the platform, Connor gives us a glimpse. A to be soon announced project, he says, “should provoke disquieting conversations, by putting previously unreleased documents of demonstrable historical importance on the blockchain.”
Another project they have lined up uses the data produced by Ideamarket.io, which is essentially a marketplace for ideas. The platform allows users to vote on creators they find credible. Now, Accursed Share is working on “artfully” visualising the movement of the marketplace in supporting various ideas. There will also be “repeating rewards for successful memes,” Connor adds.
