A set of Pixar NFTs is dropping via Disney’s new Golden Moments Collection of non-fungible tokens. Available through VeVe, it’s the award-winning animation studio’s first venture into the crypto-collectibles space. Assets will be available from 12 PM PT today, Tuesday 9th November.
News of the Disney Golden Moments collection hit our pages last week. This is an expansive series of NFTs featuring golden statues of iconic characters from some of the biggest movies on the Disney roster. That includes partners, franchises, and associates like Star Wars, Marvel, and — you guessed it — Pixar.
The Pixar drop comprises characters like beloved trash-collecting robot WALL•E and the Pizza Planet delivery van from the Toy Story movies, rendered in gold. These two tokens are respectively classed as uncommon and rare, with just 10,333 and 6,333 editions of each produced. This is likely to mean both will sell quickly once buying begins.
Pixar NFT Blind Boxes
While many fans will be clear on the specific tokens they want, others might prefer to embrace the thrill of the unknown. Disney Golden Moments also offer Blind Boxes. These assets aren’t labelled, so buyers don’t know what they are paying for until after the sale. So you could potentially grab a highly collectible, rare token for less than the listed price.
From there you can either keep that NFT, or take it to the markets and see what you can resell or trade it for. However, it’s important to note that the Disney Golden Moments NFT series is subject to secondary market fees. Not only will any onward sale be liable for a 2.5% fee from VeVe, Disney is also adding an additional 6% licensor fee to the cost.

Meanwhile, it has now been confirmed that ‘The Simpsons’ will also feature in the Golden Moments series. You can read all about that here.
