Legendary Film director Quentin Tarantino is set to release a selection of Pulp Fiction scripts as NFTS. Built on SCRT Labs’ Secret Network blockchain, the NFTs use Secret NFT technology. Owners of the NFT will decide if they want the public to see their NFT.
With this move into NFTs, Tarantino proves that he is at the forefront of popular culture. The iconic director has never been one to stick to the norm. Six of the seven Tarantino NFTs will go up for sale on OpenSea, with the help of The Secret Network, the data privacy platform designed for Web3. The remaining NFT will go to a traditional auction house.
Undoubtedly, the Pulp Fiction scripts will be like gold dust for avid film lovers. These never-before-seen scenes from the cult film will be available soon; the launch date is imminent for these Tarantino NFTs. The director appeared at the annual NYC.NFT even on November 2nd to demonstrate the technology and talk about the project.
There will be a total of seven Tarantino NFTs based on his academy award-winning film. Pulp Fiction debuted in 1994 and blew critics away with its unique style. It was only Tarantino’s second feature film.
The film had a minuscule budget of $8 million but grossed almost a quarter of a billion dollars at the cinema. It went on to receive enormous critical acclaim. First of all, it won the prestigious Palme d’Or at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival. Nominated for seven Academy Awards, Tarantino walked away with Best Original Screenplay and Best Picture. The film cemented the director as a giant of the film industry and an icon of cult film.
Seven Tarantino NFTs will feature Bonus content
Each of the Pulp Fiction NFTs will feature an uncut scene from the film, bonus content including original handwritten script pages and commentary from Tarantino, who will provide inside secrets and details about himself and the movie.
Also, perhaps the most fascinating aspect of these NFTs is that each one will feature secret content, only available to the owner. If you buy one of these seven Tarantino NFTs, you are collecting a unique piece of cinematic history.
In the Press release, Tarantino stated, “I’m excited to be presenting these exclusive scenes from ‘Pulp Fiction’ to fans. Secret Network and Secret NFTs provide a whole new world of connecting fans and artists, and I’m thrilled to be a part of that.”.
Finally, the director was at the NYC.NFT annual event on November 2nd to talk about the Secret Network technology and how he designed the NFTS.
In addition to Tarantino joining the NFT world, many other filmmakers are now looking to embrace this new technology. This is a whole new medium that artists can use for inspiration and creative purposes. Iconic Canadian filmmaker David Cronenberg is to release a 1-minute film NFT, he announced recently.
