Real-time decentralised games on Polygon blockchain are now possible thanks to a deal with Autonomous Worlds. The agreement sees Xaya blockchain technology integrated with Polygon to improve game development and capabilities.

The decision offers players several other benefits. They will now have access to titles built for Xaya, accounts come with no transaction limitations, and are far more secure than non-blockchain options. At the same time, gas is cheaper, helping more people onto the platform. In the past, fees put many off engaging with games on Ethereum and other higher cost blockchains.
Real-time decentralised games, Polygon, and faster payments
If you’re new to the world of real-time decentralised games, on Polygon or elsewhere, one of the biggest selling points is the play-to-earn potential. An enticing proposition for any gamer, Autonomous World’s decentralised titles deliver immediate settlements after winning.
“We’re certain the combination of Polygon’s high-performance blockchain and Xaya’s experience in the field of decentralised games will result in fascinating new experiences to further boost this quickly evolving sector,” Polygon co-founder, Sandeep Nailwal, told Zycrypto.
“Following the growth of DeFi and NFTs, we believe blockchain gaming will be the next big opportunity to take blockchain mass market. Our partnership with Polygon will only accelerate that trend,” added Xaya co-founder, Andy Colosimo.
As a result of the deal, Autonomous Worlds will begin developing new in-house games for Polygon. At present, the company is considered among the most advanced in the blockchain gaming sector. It positions Xaya as the ultimate in blockchain gaming platforms.
‘Taurion’ is one of the firm’s flagship titles. Billed as ‘a new genre of massively multiplayer online games’, it is an open source universe. Actions within this decentralised sandbox are verified by the blockchain, so cheating is impossible. Players mine resources, construct homes, raise empires, trade or battle with other users. The developer has been responsible for creating a number of other huge releases, including the popular ‘Soccer Manager Elite’. The possibilities are endless, and Autonomous Worlds promises more groundbreaking environments like these for Polygon.

Gaming, NFTs and blockchain
The first thing to remember is real-time decentralised games on Polygon are just the latest in a stream of big announcements. All things considered, gaming, NFTs and blockchain are pushing both player experiences and technical possibilities forward on a daily basis.
In recent times many of the most significant developments involve monetisation. Earlier this month, NFT role-playing game ‘Big Time’ told players they can now earn non-fungible tokens through play. This is particularly important as the NFTs have value outside the gaming environment. Play-to-earn staking is also central to another RPG, ‘Cryptoblades‘.
Elsewhere, the hugely successful ‘Revomon‘ title is also now readying its NFT release, with plans to unlock farming, contests and airdrops in the near future. The VR-based role player uses non-fungibles to connect into its coded world. Players must collect monsters as they explore the environment. As with many of the most innovative titles, the release is based on a distributed, community-driven model.
