Blockchain company GigLabs has just announced its NFT app for the Shopify App store. This new NFT app enables Shopify Plus sellers to sell NFTs on their Shopify storefront in minutes. What’s more – this app facilitates the NFT experience. To benefit from this feature, sellers do not need any prior experience in selling NFTs.

BreakingT and Infinite Objects were the first companies that launched NFTs using the GigLabs Shopify NFT app. BreakingT is an apparel company that celebrates key sports moments in real-time. Infinite Objects specialises in printing videos. Together, these two companies worked with GigLabs to design and develop this innovative app.
Another key point about this new app is that it’s integrated with the Flow Blockchain. Shopify Plus sellers can mint and sell NFTs on Flow – the world’s fastest-growing blockchain. In addition to having 2 million accounts and 10 million secondary market NFT transactions, Flow is more eco-friendly when compared to other blockchains since it’s a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) blockchain.
This integration is a big win for GigLabs and Shopify. Most importantly, it enables Shopify sellers to expand into the metaverse and keep everything in one place. This move was a wise decision for Shopify, especially since platforms such as Metaplex were already marketing themselves as the “Shopify for NFTs”.
