Furthermore, Somnium Space often collaborate with NFT projects and host many events. As we saw this year they are always growing with the NFT scene. Recently, they even introduced holograms.
About Somnium Space’s Cross Chain Compatibility
Actually, Somnium Space were vocal about their cross-chain ambitions. Firstly, they will begin with Solana in December of this year. Obviously, Solana’s efficiency and the lower gas fees are a great benefit. Plus, they are much more environmentally friendly.
Later, the NEAR blockchain should integrate in 2022. Then, they may integrate Layer 2 solution, Polygon too.
Actually, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen cross-chain compatibility. Essentially, it makes sense for metaverse projects to consider it. There are a hoarde of benefits including lower gas fees, faster transaction speeds and versatility. As previously mentioned, the biggest advantage is their greener impact. The carbon footprint associated with Solana is much more desirable than Ethereum. Plus, with the increase in blockchain use, a greener future is important.
