NFT fans in Singapore are in for a treat! A major week-long NFT exhibit started yesterday, November 7, featuring about 30 artworks from iconic artists such as Beeple, Andy Warhol and more! The event is now in full swing, so you can now view the NFTs at Fine Art Storage Services at Le Freeport.
Coinhacko and Appetite teamed up to organize the event dubbed as “Right Click + Save.” Clearly, the partners are embracing the top criticism to NFTs. Outsiders often wonder why enthusiasts and collectors are willing to pay eye-watering prices for a jpeg file that anyone can just download and save.
Coinhacko is a digital asset wallet service provider, while Appetite runs a multi-concept space and research center. They plan to present the NFTs in various formats: screens, monitors, projections and framed prints. If you’re in the area, make sure you check out the large-scale exhibit.
Right-Click + Save, which allows viewing by appointment only, was fully booked before the exhibition began. However, fans can still tune in to virtual parts of the exhibit. For example, there are several online panel discussions on Twitter Spaces. They can also view a parallel exhibition on the virtual collaboration platform Spatial until November. Meanwhile, the physical exhibit runs until November 14.

NFTs exploded this year and the “Right Click + Save” show aims to narrate how crypto art led the charge. Some of the highlights are Sarah Meyohas’ Bitchcoin (2015) which preceded the launch of the Ethereum blockchain platform. Warhol’s Untitled (Flower) (circa 1985; minted 2021) and Refik Anadol’s immersive data visualization is also part of the line-up.
Out of all the impressive NFT artworks, only one is for sale. On Thursday, the NFT figurine “Doge To The Moon” is headed to the auction block in partnership with collectibles company Mighty Jaxx. The starting bid price is a whooping one million dogecoins or about $260,000 with today’s price.
Appetite art lead Clara Che Wei Peh, the show’s curator and the founder of the online community NFT Asia, explained what the event represents. According to her, before this exhibit, there was no large-scale attempt in Singapore to explore the power of NFTs.
The organizers were able to assemble such high-caliber NFT pieces thanks to the support of institutional and individual backers. Three Arrows Capital, the pseudonymous Vincent Van Dough and Coinhako’s Vice President of Strategy Raghav Sood all contributed NFT pieces.
More About the Event
The organizers hope the show will raise awareness of NFTs and crypto art.
“There’s a lot of jargon, a lot of technology and there are lots of barriers to entry for someone who might be intimidated by these things,” says Appetite’s general manager and head of research, Kaushik Swaminathan.
She hopes to bring new people into the crypto world by creating a platform where they can see the works physically and learn about some of the pioneers or most influential artists in this space.
