MusiCares and Amy Winehouse Foundation are back with an NFT drop to pay tribute to the music legend on her 10th Death Anniversary. Same with the first NFT auction, Charles Moriarty also shot the photograph in the second offering. The organizers are releasing the NFT on July 23, during a star-studded showcase event in memory of the late English singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse.

Last month, we reported that MusiCares, a charity run by the organizers of the Grammys, is collaborating with the Amy Winehouse Foundation. The photo from the NFT shows a young Amy Winehouse in New York City. The fundraiser raised awareness for musicians struggling with mental health and substance abuse.
Amy Winehouse NFT Tribute
‘Back To Amy’ is a three-hour “festival style” event featuring a powerhouse line-up of established and emerging artists. Fans will surely enjoy the performances, recordings from around the globe and spoken-work dispatches from other musicians. Chris Daughtry, Nashville-royalty Ana Cristina and John Carter Cash, Broadway’s Joshua Henry and many more will celebrate the life and legacy of Winehouse.
The event will be fully digital and streamed live from City Winery Nashville on July 23. Then, MusiCares and the Foundation will unveil the second NFT offering.
One of the highlights of the event is the performance of GRAMMY-nominated Indian rapper and singer-songwriter Raja Kumari. She revealed that she identifies with Winehouse who died in 2011 at the age of 27 due to alcohol poisoning.
Kumari said, “ “I am so honored to be supporting mental health awareness at Back To Amy with MusiCares® and the Amy Winehouse Foundation. This is a topic that is really important to me. I’ve been in therapy for the last year and it’s thoroughly changed my life. As musicians, especially in the last two years, I think our mental health has come to the forefront. Join me in supporting this important cause as we celebrate art, music, empowerment, and Amy’s legacy.”
More about “Back to Amy”
Mandolin, City Winery, and Qello Concerts by Stingray are in charge of presenting and promoting the Livestream. MusiCares and the Foundation will split the proceeds in half. Thus, the thrust is still to support mental health awareness.
Additionally, all ticket-buyers will receive a unique code to access six more Amy Winehouse titles on Qello Concerts for a limited time. The six titles include “Live Eurockeennes de Belfort,” “The Legacy,” “The Final Goodbye.” Then the other half is “Live At Porchester Hall,” “Live In London: I Told You I Was Trouble,” and “The Day She Came To Dingle.”
The Partners
The family of Winehouse established the foundation after her untimely death. Ultimately, the goal of the Amy Winehouse Foundation is to inspire young adults to build their self-esteem and resilience.
On the other hand, MusiCares Foundation was established in 1989 to safeguard the health and well-being of everyone in the music industry. To do this, the Foundation crafts programs to address musicians’ financial, medical, and personal health issues. Simply put, the Foundation is a friend and ally of the music community.
