Celebrated 20-year-old street artist from Liverpool, Sean Webster, is releasing his own NFT collection – The Pals Universe. The collection will consist of 4,444 NFTs and will be available on November 11, 2022. He will also draw the collection in his distinctive doodle style that has caught the attention of many notable individuals. Previously, Sean has created commission pieces for celebrities including Robbie Williams, Sean Lennon, Newton Faulkner, Brian Ray, and Phil X of Bon Jovi.
The Pals Universe collection details
The Pals Universe collection contains ‘Pals’ and ‘Foes’, a series of hand-drawn characters that also include generative traits. ‘Pals’ are happy, more upbeat characters that represent the high levels of creativity within us all, while ‘Foes’ represent Sean’s harsh inner feelings, such as fear, doubt, and uncertainty. The collection will also contain 100 super rare collectible NFTs inspired by celebrities and other prominent NFT projects. In sum, The Pals illustrate the world’s duality of light and dark, and the importance of harnessing the energies of both realities.
Furthermore, the team’s mission contains ambitious goals with zero boundaries. They aim to expand the IP of The Pals by exploring other mediums in which the universe can thrive. This includes commercial opportunities and other collaborations. Further, the team has created an inclusive community that inspires and supports one another regardless of someone’s looks or beliefs. Therefore, by minting a Pal, you will embark on this journey and be a part of this movement. Community members will be empowered by each having an equal voice in the direction the project takes.
Banning marketplaces that support optional royalties
Sean is making a stand for all creatives in the NFT space by banning marketplaces that support optional royalties. In detail, Sudoswap, X2Y2, Looksrare, and Blur will be banned from secondary listings. In other words, that leaves Opensea, Rarible and NFTTrader as the available marketplaces. This action by Sean makes this the first Ethereum-based project to ban optional royalties. With that being said, a 7.5% royalty will be set for every sale on the secondary market.
