This week, metaverse developer Republic Realm sold The Metaflower NFT Super Mega Yacht as part of its new Fantasy Collection. Surprisingly, the asset was bought for a whopping 149 ETH, becoming the most expensive NFT in The Sandbox.
The Metaflower Super Mega Yacht, a record-breaking NFT
The metaverse development group Republic Realm scored another impressive achievement this month. The Metaflower Super Mega Yacht, a luxury four-story NFT craft in The Sandbox, sold for a record 149 ETH, or about $650,000. As a result, it is officially the priciest digital asset in the Sandbox!
Accordingly, the yacht includes a relaxing Jacuzzi, two helipads, lounge areas, and even a dance floor to entertain its guest. All of the features inspire luxury and opulence, as the NFT belongs to Republic Realm’s Fantasy Collection.
In fact, the Fantasy Collection includes luxury NFTs of all kinds. From jet skis to speedboats and, of course, the iconic Metaflower Yacht, the project is meant to entertain top collectors in The Sandbox. Notably, each NFT holder gains access to members-only areas such as Fantasy Marina, or the beach club.
However, the most impressive part of the project is the exclusive collection of 100 private islands on The Sandbox. Impressively, these luxury collectibles sold out in less than 24 hours after launch; although their current price floor is at 63.9 ETH, no island could beat the Super Mega Yacht NFT so far.
The Sandbox is expanding at the speed of light
The Sandbox is undoubtedly among the most popular metaverses to date. As the NFT market has exploded this year, we’ve seen plenty of NFT whales and celebrities build and trade in The Sandbox. In fact, some of the most popular collections joined the project too, including Gutter Cat Gang and the Sneaky Vampire Syndicate.
Perhaps the most impressive collaboration, though, is Snoop Dogg, who re-created his real-life mansion within the metaverse. The rapper, also known as NFT whale Cozomo de’ Mendici, has also launched several Miami beach party themed collectibles in partnership with the Sandbox.
