Airwire has launched a new camera app that mints NFTs. This app allows people to create NFTs in under 1 minute for a reduced rate, and sometimes even for free. It also is providing a host of other conveniences, according to the company’s CEO, Ken DiCross.

About the App
Earlier this week, AirWire launched the NFT Camera App that mints NFTs simply named ‘AirWire’ which is now available to download on the Google Play Store. Basically, the camera has the ability to mint NFTs quickly and and cheaply via an in-app wallet and an integrated marketplace.
DiCross stated: “It’s as simple as take a picture, mint it in 15 seconds, and sell or keep it private. We took down the barrier to entry and fixed many of the problems that other NFT marketplaces are experiencing.” This barrier to entry that he mentioned is a major reason why many creators haven’t yet launched NFT projects. In terms of the camera feature, the company claim to be “A first-to-market app that is light years ahead of current offerings.”
Recently, they partnered with rap artist and actor, Tobe Nwigwe who has a massive 1.3 million followers on Instagram. Additionally, the app itself features a decentralized NFT Media Storage where users can enhance their NFTs with editing tools. In fact, the app’s marketplace already hosts a token from the Bored Ape Yacht Club.
The Future
Reportedly, the NFT marketplace will host tokens from all major chains. Actually, the entire concept of the app is great – specifically the camera that mints NFTs. Clearly, this stands out as the most innovative feature.
Increasingly, more companies will hop onto the instant minting idea. Essentially, the incorporation of a phone app is an additional bonus. Actually, it – once again – lowers the barrier to enter. Seemingly the next step in their future is to incorporate iOS and expand from their current Google Play userbase. You can currently download the AirWire app on early access here and download their wallet here.
