Gary Vaynerchuk’s VeeFriends has launched the third collection in its Pre-Launch Program (PLP): The Drops. A community NFT project focusing on art, The Drops features a capped supply of high-quality artworks. The collection revolves around a character called ‘Drop’ and is divided into three series.
The Drops consists of a total of 1,500 tokens, of which, 355 were airdropped to VF holders on Friday, October 15. Furthermore, the project auctioned 30 limited edition NFTs from its ‘The Artist Series’ in a general mint.
VeeFriends PLP’s latest: The Drops
The Drops NFT project is the brainchild of artist Nebenzu, who is joined by over 39 other established and emerging NFT artists.
“I have a dream to connect artists and collectors in an intimate space,” Nebenzu notes on The Drops website. “Eliminating the noise of the day to day market. Making it easier for artist to get a platform by using the visibility of this project.”
The project plans to send 10% of the sales proceeds from October 15th and 16th to an Artist Support Fund Wallet. This fund will either help emerging artists by covering their minting costs or help upcoming artists by purchasing artworks from their first collection.
The collection consists of three different series: The Original Series, The Multiple Series, and The Artist Series. Furthermore, there are four rarities. These include Common (68%), Exclusive (20%), Rare (10%), and Ultra Rare (2%).
The Original Series
This series features a total of 500 hand-generated 2D artworks. It comes with 52 different traits with varying rarities. Additionally, holders of the Original Series get to join a hidden friends chat on Discord.
Of the total NFTs in the series, 250 were given to VF holders. Currently, the series is sold out. Nonetheless, you can still get yours from OpenSea.
The Multiple Series
The Multiple Series includes 15/15 editions of 3D artworks. This too allows the holders to become part of an exclusive Discord chat. Moreover, every NFT in the series counts as one raffle entry to win one 1/1 NFT from the Artist Series in the future.
Additionally, Original Series holders can exchange their Original NFTs for a Multiple Series. For this, they have to first send their original token to this address: 0x463d454194d412e7dfaa4759d43fa0f1ac170bbe. Then, the project will randomly airdrop an equal number of Multiple Series tokens to the sending address.
Artist Series
Lastly, Artist Series consists of 1/1 editions created from collaborations with various 3D artists. Holders of these NFTs are eligible to join the hidden family chat on Discord as well as various airdrops in the future.
What is VeeFriends PLP?
The VeeFriends PLP enables new projects to have access to existing VF holders as well as Vaynerchuk’s growing social media followers. To make this happen, the projects have to donate 555 of their tokens to VeeFriends. Thereafter, these tokens will be randomly airdropped to VF holders who are “passionate, creative and entrepreneurial.”
Previously, the PLP launched projects such as DapperDinos and Grillz Gang. The latter only launched late last month and features 3D smileys in varied rarities.
