The king of knowledge websites – Wikipedia, is entering the NFT world via the sale of its first edit. Moreover, the Wiki NFT features the very first edit ” Hello World” done by Jimmy Wales on January 15, 2001.

More about the Wikipedia’s NFT
Well, not only the ‘first edit’ as NFT but the iMac computer which Jimmy used to create the website, is also open for auction.

The auction is called ‘The Birth of Wikipedia’ and it began from December 3 until December 5.
Likewise, the auction is occurring at the website Christies.com. Where the bid started from $100 has now reached $700 for the Wiki NFT and $300 for the iMac computer.
Interestingly, whoever becomes the final buyer will be able to edit the original edit freely.
Besides, money from the auction will be channelled into Wale’s current project ‘W. T. Social’. This project aims to build a non-toxic alternative to social platforms. Additionally, the funds will support various charities.
