Every time we think the NFT world has seen it all, something new (and probably crazy) pops up. Today is one such day where some of the top names in the industry are coming together to watch, erm, someone inject his Bored Ape live on Twitch. Yup, you heard that right! Ethereum Foundation co-founder, Taylor Gerring is all set to livestream the mutation of his Bored Ape at 9 pm ET today.
Bored Ape Live: All you need to know
To be honest, the Bored Ape live is not really surprising. After all, Gerring bought the Mega Mutant Serum for a whopping $3.6 million. So, of course, he has to unveil the Mega Mutant Ape in style! Simultaneously, Gerring will also host a Twitter Space. NFT enthusiasts Farokh, tropoFarmer, Herb.eth, and more are slated to join the one of a kind event.
“Attention all Apes, Mutants and Doggos, IT’S HAPPENING!!!,” Farokh tweeted. “Join us Tuesday night at 9PM ET to watch @TaylorGerring chug the M3 live on Twitch (video) & Spaces (audio) with @tropoFarmer, @Herb_Castillo and friends! Come for throwbacks and chugs!”

What are Mutant Apes?
Mutant Apes are part of the Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC), a collection of a maximum of 20,000 mutants. These are created by injecting a Bored Ape with a Mutant Serum. In late August, BAYC airdropped 10,000 mutant serums to all BAYC holders. Furthermore, the serums came in three tiers, M1, M2, and Mega Mutant (M3). Basically, M3 generates apes with uncommon attributes—making them extremely valuable.
Currently, MAYC has a floor price of 9.65 ETH on OpenSea.
