WallStreetBets’ Art Basel Event Includes Art Experience & NFT Auction
WallStreetBets is hosting the stacked event at Art Basel Miami in partnership with AK Art. The party will begin with a live NFT auction hosted by SatoshiStreetBets and Dr. Crypto. Following the auction is the highlight of the event – a live art experience, “Token Mischief: What is Real & What is Art?”.
Overall the event promises to “bring together DeFi and NFT to Wall Street“. What’s more, the event website goes on to say that the immersive art experience will cause guests to “question their concept of art”. Finally it notes that both the physical art and the NFTs displayed at the event will be for sale.
“To The Moon Party” Represents Utility For WallStreetBets NFT Holders
Clearly WallStreetBets wants to emphasize the exclusive nature of the event. Indeed, only select investors and influencers will receive invitations to the party. Of course this is besides holders of the Diamond Hands Pass NFTs. Those that own a piece from the collection are able to RSVP via their community Discord.
The WallStreetBets movement started on the social media platform, Reddit. It gained mainstream attention on account of its influence on the stock market in late 2020. Specifically when members of its community embraced GameStop stock.
It has since evolved, even launching its own decentralized trading platform. As a matter of fact it recently launched an NFT game to reward users of that platform. It then released the Diamond Hands Pass NFT collection in September.
All in all it is fair to say that the NFT takeover of Art Basel continues, given this news from the WSB team.
