Playground’s launch marks an exciting new chapter for one of tech’s most promising startups. The platform unites and grows member engagement for creator communities. Moreover, it provides back-end community management and monetization tools.
Its CEO and Founder Jia Ling Yang said that Playground aims to enable communities. At the same time, curate relationships and co-create experiences.
Yang said: “It’s about spending time well and feeling more alive. Creating more connections and communities achieves just that. We see ourselves as the next meaningful social platform built around group features that encourage play. We intentionally stripped out the scrolling and filtering and passive entertainment. What’s left is a platform that empowers creators to build community and inspires people to participate.”
Through Playground, creatives and professionals can connect and play on a central portal to a decentralized digital world. Moreover, Playground members and creators can move seamlessly between virtual and IRL event discovery, allowing them to grow and monetize their networks.
The company’s leading investors, Animoca Brands and DeLand, are working with Playground to complete a new fundraising round. The funds will help support the platform’s next growth stage to be a Web3 native product over four to six months. In addition, they will introduce Playground tokens and roll out new creator tools.
