Wicked Craniums has partnered with Sandclock Org to host a charity NFT auction. For this, the two has collaborated with four charitable organizations—UNICEF, Acumen, Mercy Corps, and Health Finance Institute. The complete proceeds from the auction will go to these charities.
The collaboration aims to bridge the gap between art, DeFi, and philanthropy. Commenting about the partnership, Sandclock wrote, “Wicked Craniums’ support in this collaboration is proof of their commitment to use art and blockchain to have a meaningful impact on the world.”
Wicked Craniums x Sandclock: Meet The God Craniums
For the charity auction, Reckless Labs, the team behind Wicked Craniums, has released their first 1/1 NFTs, called ‘The God Craniums’. The collection consists of five 1/1 skull Gods. While the company has donated four of these NFTs for the upcoming auction, Wicked Craniums and Sandclock has planned something “special” for the fifth skull.
Currently, the four skulls are up for auction on Nifty Gateway. The four God NFTs, with stunning artwork, are Earth, Fire, Water, and Air. Furthermore, each God is assigned to one charity. At the time of writing, Water God had the highest bid at $2,575. This was followed by Fire God at $1,716.66. While Air God’s bid had reached $1,666.66, Earth God was at $1,111. The auction will close in around six hours.
NFT charity donations have been going up in recent months. A range of NFT projects is now setting an example by raising funds for charity. For some collections, charitable causes are also a significant part of their roadmap. Cyberkongz, for instance, recently raised 69 ETH ($202,000) to support Virunga National Park. Last month, WiV Technology auctioned a wine NFT to support the President Salome Zourabishvili Foundation and the Salkhino Monastery.
