Legendary former World champion boxer at the light-welterweight class, Konstantin Tszyu is releasing NFT versions of cards on Binance. The collection will be dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the fight for the title of Absolute World Champion (November 3, 2001 – a fight vs Zab Judah).
About the NFTs
The collection celebrates the 20th anniversary of his Absolute World Champion victory over Zab Judah. It will consist of 34 series of NFT cards. Based on the number of pro fights he had in his career.
As with some other sports collections of NFTs, this collection will come in 3 different rarities. Bronze: dedicated to eighteen fights of Kostya Tszyu in the professional ring and ten cards in a series will be issued. With these, the holders get the chance to partake in experiences. Silver: dedicated to twelve title/belt battles and will be issued in the amount of three cards for each fight. The holders of silver NFTs will receive a personal gift. Finally, gold: dedicated to the four most important fights in his career, in which Konstantin Tszyu received the championship belt. They are the most unique – issued in a single copy – and provide the most privileges. The owners of these will especially meet with Tszyu.
All NFTs will be available on the Binance platform from December 6th at 5 PM UTC until December 9th at 5 PM UTC. GOLD cards will be sold in an auction format. Any Binance user can purchase the NFT and participate in the auction.
About Konstantin Tszyu
Konstantin Tszyu is a former Russian-Australian professional boxer who competed from 1992-2005. Through his career, he won multiple light-welterweight world championships, these included undisputed and lineal titles between 2001 and 2005. As an amateur, he represented the Soviet Union at the World Championships in 1989 and won a bronze medal.
He then made the move into the professional game. He emphatically won his first professional world championships at light-welterweight – the IBF title – in 1995, by defeating Jake Rodriguez.
His boxing record upon retirement sat at 31-2 and 1 with no contest, with 25 wins by knockout.
He was born in the former Soviet Union, and until 1991 (the fall of the Soviet), he classed himself as Soviet. Then, from 1993 he became an Australian citizen. Now, he’s in general viewed by many Australians to be a national sports hero. After all of his career feats, in December 2010, he was inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame.
