The first Xoogler NFT collection is coming soon. That’s not a typo in the name, by the way. In case you’re not sure, Xoogler is a group of former and current Google workers. A key purpose of the group, established in 2015, is to provide financing and support for new startups.
The group’s website states that among their community, there are “startup founders, early team members, angel investors, VCs, and mentors”. There are over 2000 funders, and they have up to now provided support to over 60 companies, including Solana, FalconX, and OpenSea.
Xoogler NFT group are looking for a Moon-shot
About the NFT collection, Xoogler co-founder Kushagra Shrivastava said,
“We wanted a way to say thank you and show appreciation for our volunteers, startups and investors. We have minted a unique 3D NFT that reflects the value of the community and our common roots.
The NFT features a rocket venturing into space, paying homage to the moonshot thinking. We also included Stan, the famous dinosaur on Google’s campus, as a reminder to never become irrelevant.
We’re excited to build value and community alongside this elite group of entrepreneurs and investors as we embrace blockchain as an enablement layer to turbocharge our community and help others.”
The NFTs will have use in the real world. Holders can get priority access to Xoogle’s Demo Day events in future. These events showcase projects and allow startups to pitch to investors.
Xoogler’s NFT collection will be minted on the Rally platform, which uses an Ethereum sidechain to lower gas fees and lessen energy use. The innovative platform also has a service for users to create their own crypto tokens.
NFT and token creation are becoming easier to access all the time. Accordingly, individuals and companies, both tech and non-tech, are picking up on crypto and integrating it into their projects. Not that we think Xoogler would have much of a problem understanding NFT technology.
