Josh Hart, the basketball player for the NBA team, the New Orleans Pelicans, believes he is the athlete with the best collection of NFTs. The 26-year-old shooting guard/small forward announced on Twitter to his 498,000 followers. It is a bold claim by Hart, as there are now quite a few athletes with impressive NFT collections.
NFTs are growing in popularity worldwide, and athletes have been quick to enter the NFT space, even displaying them as their profile pics and joining in community events.
Yesterday Josh Hart tweeted, “Think I for sure got the best NFT collection out of all the athletes”. Josh Hart has an impressive collection. Amongst his collection of NFTs, there are two BAYC, two MAYC, four Cool Cats, a Doodles NFT, and others. In total, he owns at least 15 NFTs, which are worth over $750,000 minimum.
However, several star athletes besides Josh Hart are involved in NFTs. These include basketball superstar Steph Curry, former England footballer John Terry and many more. Steph is a massive NFT advocate. Steph also owns a BAYC NFT, amongst many others.
In fact, Curry is one of the biggest stars in the world. He is a huge supporter of Rumble Kongs and is heavily involved in the community. He is known for wearing RKL clothing at games and while conducting interviews. Many athletes are following in his footsteps and embracing the NFT world.
Meanwhile, Josh Hart is carving his own path in the NFT space, and if his collection is to go by, he might have a reason to declare himself as the number one athlete in the NFT world.
