Starting February 14th, the renowned artist FRANC will join the NFT scene with a collection of 36 NFTs. Surprisingly, FRANC is only 10 years old, which makes her the youngest Australian artist to debut on the metaverse until now.

FRANC launches NFTs for a noble cause
This Valentine’s Day, Australian artist FRANC’s first NFT collection titled ‘Heart Strings’ will drop via OpenSea. Accordingly, the 36 digital assets included are based on 12 multi-media artworks designed by FRANC herself.
As a result, each unique NFT will feature a wide range of colors, textures, and even movement, as they’ll all come in mp4 formats. FRANC found her inspiration in the life of tweens (9 to 14-year-olds) just like herself.
In fact, the ‘Heart Strings’ collection represents the idea of experimenting with love as a tween. As FRANC points out, though, the concept focuses on self-love and creating a healthy environment rather than romantic love itself.
“We want to show girls that you really can do and be anything,” explained FRANC. “Want to be a pilot? We interview them. Want to be a writer? Listen to our podcast. Want to be an artist? Well, let’s launch an NFT collection together.”

Finding self-confidence through NFTs
According to Annika Launay, the co-founder of FRANC’s platform Franc World, “a girl’s confidence drops on average by 30% between the ages of 8 and 14.” The statistics are undoubtedly concerning – and now emerging artists such as FRANC aim to address the issue.
Therefore, 10% of each NFT sale will go to the Franc World platform, a place where tweens can educate themselves in innovative ways. In addition, the funds will also be used to support charity organizations, including the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.
