Yield farming game Cometh has joined the upcoming Play to Earn Game Festival as an event sponsor. Hosted by Play To Earn Online Magazine and powered by Gala Games’ Echoes of Empire, the festival is a “new form of game convention.”
The week-long festival starts on July 12, Play to Earn Online Magazine said in a blog. The fun-filled event is an effort to promote blockchain gaming, particularly, the play-to-earn economy.
More on Play to Earn Game Festival
The Play to Earn Game Festival will take place in the virtual world Cryptovoxels. It can be accessed via a web browser on any device. The festival is a great opportunity for blockchain gaming enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and investors to connect with the movers and shakers of the blockchain gaming and NFT space. It offers a platform to not only discover the latest play-to-earn games but also to learn more about the blend of DeFi and gaming.
First launched in November last year, the July event marks the third edition of the festival. As many as 13,000 visitors were part of the last event held in March, according to Star Atlas, another event sponsor.
From today, there will be a slew of competitions where participants can win prizes worth thousands of dollars. The festival is open 24×7 and will be rife with puzzles and giveaways.
Cometh is gaining traction
Cometh is a DeFi yield farming game set in virtual outer space. Five months after its launch on Polygon, all the game’s metrics are shooting up—sales, number of players, rewards, and transactions.
In the game, players use a spaceship NFT to intercept asteroids. Players can also use their spaceships to mine $MUST, the game’s native token. In this way, the game is doubling as an NFT game and a DeFi product, defining the future of blockchain gaming.
