Dirty Dogs’ Whitelist and public sale started strong, with 70% of the NFTs sold in less than 15 minutes! Despite malicious attempts by fraudsters, the team was able to combat it and power through. With this, 7,777 unique dogs let out by a rogue Cool Cat captured the heart of NFT collectors and enthusiasts.

Dirty Dogs NFT Collection
The overall aesthetics of the NFT Collection screams Cool Cats: from the website down to the actual artwork. In fact, the Collection’s narrative is that Cool Cat BUCKET released the Dirty Dogs NFTs because he was “wronged by others.” So he stayed behind closed doors until he was able to grow an army sizable enough to take on the Cool Cats.

The 7,777 Dirty Dogs were programmatically generated from over 225 traits. Meanwhile, the minting price was set at 0.065 ETH with a maximum of 7 NFTs per wallet. The team deliberately attracted the Cool Cats NFT holders by prioritizing them during the Whitelist. All Cool Cats owners were able to get on the Whitelist as long as they verify their Discord membership.
In terms of Tokenomics, the team reserved reserve 20 Dogs to giveaway to members and staff, including three one-of-one Dogs, which will be exclusive to giveaways. Meanwhile, four one-of-one Dogs remain in the mintable supply.
More about the Launch, Roadmap and Team
The team implemented a voucher type of redemption. Basically, users just need to click “purchase” in order to purchase the Dirty Dog NFT. Then, they need to click “claim” once they have the voucher.
The team plans to use the funds raised from the NFT sale in giveaways and donations. Specifically, they want to help dogs around the world by donating to charities and shelters, local and global.
The team also presented a three-phase roadmap on the website. The first two covered community-building, marketing and the launch of the project. Things will start to heat up once the project enters Phase 3. By then, they will begin the development of the cats vs. dogs game.
The team section lists “BUCKET” and “quiprr.” BUCKET is the founder and the artist. His identity remains anonymous but he is also an independent figure on TikTok with 130 thousand followers.Meanwhile, quiprr handles the backend and blockchain components of the project.
Recap: What Happened During the Launch?
A few hours after the launch, the project released a statement on Discord regarding the malicious attempts. It reads: “There are a few people trying to lower our floor by listing far below mint, and then delisting it to try and cause fud. The floor price is determined by the lowest listed pieces, and it is only a few people doing this.”
Eventually, the team decided to temporarily disable purchasing a voucher due to an “exploit within the smart contract.” However, those who were able to purchase already don’t need to worry because they can still claim their Dirty Dog NFTs.
