Hello Fam Breaks Boundaries With The First All-NFT Wine Brand

    By AdeleSeptember 8, 2021Updated:September 21, 20222 Mins Read

NFT community Untamed Elephants has teamed up with direct-to-consumer wine platform Vinsent for a premiere in the non-fungible token collectibles industry: NFT wine. Along with the launch of Hello Fam, the company will also host the inaugural release Genesis Vintage 2021.

    How does Hello Fam work?

Hello Fam beautifully describes itself as ‘The official winery of the NFT age’ – and for good reason. This brand new range of NFT collectibles is bringing together fine wine and non-fungible tokens, much to collectors’ enthusiasts.

So how does it work? First of all, collectors need to become members. In order to gain membership, each collector must purchase at least one Grape Fam NFT. This is the equivalent of one case, or six 750ml bottles, of Genesis Vintage 2021 – the first wine variety to be released.

Hello Fam will store each bottle in a temperature-controlled facility meant to preserve its quality. Moreover, each case of Genesis Vintage 2021 will be stored indefinitely assuring the buyer that it will never be sold outside of the NFT. However, collectors can trade their Grape Fam NFTs in any way they desire.

Wine and NFTs, a tasty combination

According to Jacob Ner-David, the co-founder of Hello Fam and Vinsent partner, the initiative stands as a call-to-action for the current industry:

“Hello Fam is both a statement of quality and a call-to-action for the rest of the industry. No longer do we have the luxury to continue making wine and selling it like the world hasn’t changed. With this launch, we invite wine-lovers to join us in securing the future of one of the world’s oldest and most beloved industries, and one of life’s greatest pleasures.”

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen NFT companies merging with wine producers. Last month, blockchain-based trading platform WiV has launched an exquisite fine wine collection featuring customizable BAYC labels.
