OpenSea bugs seem to get out of hand after users complain they are being scammed. Twitter user and NFT enthusiast @JSnowETH called out OpenSea after losing 2.1 ETH.
@JSnowETH expressed their confusion and anger after noticing that they lost ETH due to a bug: “I can’t even believe this. I have been holding that Boss Beauty for some time and somehow it got listed for 0.3 ETH and sold instantly when I specifically typed in 2.8. I’m so angry and sad at the same time. I’m NGMI.” @JSnowETH continued, “The floor is around 2.4, so I lost 2.1 ETH in this scam/bug/issue somehow. That is a lot to me right now. I’m so fucking sad.”
After contacting OpenSea, @JSnowETH was even more furious. This is because OpenSea accused them of listing the NFT for 0.3ETH. @JSnowETH insisted that they had typed 2.8 ETH into the listing tab and confirmed it, so they can’t understand how it was listed at 0.3 ETH.
Turns out the NFT ended up in NFT influencer @Zeneca_33’s fiancee’s wallet. The two are now trying to find a solution that is agreeable to both. Zeneca _ 33 also suggested @JSnowETH ask OpenSea to better investigate this situation, especially given the recent bugs that OpenSea users have had to deal with.
OpenSea has recently come under intense scrutiny after accidentally delisting the original Cool Pets NFT collection instead of the fake. What’s more – another OpenSea bug led a rare Bored Ape NFT to be sold for 90 ETH; a figure which the owner states are well below the floor value.
