“The page is lost.” This is the error message on OpenSea that greeted CryptoMories NFT holders. For a moment, it seemed like the platform could finally move on from all the issues after updating its smart contract. Unfortunately, the migration led to the delisting of some NFT projects.
CryptoMories are 10 000 little skeletons that hope to remind the NFT community that life is good with its colorful pieces. Artist, Iwwon, animator, Zelroug and developer, Bignenet, started the project. Later on, it also caught the eye of NFT influencer and entrepreneur GaryVee.
OpenSea’s Contract Migration Hits CryptoMories
The NFT community has been talking about the issues plaguing the industry’s biggest NFT marketplace. It started with asset recovery and freezing of NFTs. Then, the listing bug and phishing attack came into the picture. The verification and screening process for projects is also under fire. The situation is a major PR nightmare, with thousands of disgruntled users slamming the platform and calling it BrokenSea.
However, users started to become hopeful when OpenSea announced that it is making several critical improvements to the platform. The contract migration was positioned as the grand solution that would squash all issues. Unfortunately, it gave birth to new issues such as the delisting of CryptoMories.
Both OpenSea and CryptoMories have not given specific tech details about the issue. However, the NFT collectible assured its community that they are sorting things out. The project wrote on Twitter: “We have identified the problem with OpenSea and are currently working to resolve it. Rest assured your Mories are safe in your wallet.”
As of press time, CryptoMories’ OpenSea page is still inaccessible. So the project is directing the traffic to its verified LooksRare collection. The current floor price sits at 0.65 ETH.
