PixelPotus is an NFT Collectibles Card Game portraying the US Presidents in their finest pixelated suits. Fans and Collectors are treated to 45 different POTUS with 6 different rarities on the Tezos Blockchain.
US Presidents NFT Collectibles
The card game consists of increasingly rare digital POTUSes (Presidents of the United States). There are only 45 instead of 46 because Grover Cleveland had two non-consecutive terms as 22nd and 24th US President.
The game allows any user to claim a free (less Tezos network fees) common POTUS token once per day. However, the higher-level rarities can only be minted by collecting and then burning lower-level tokens. For example, if the user wants an uncommon Barack Obama, he’d have to collect 2 commons and use the upgrade action to convert them into a single uncommon. Moreover, there’s a cap of only 10,000 tokens available for each POTUS.
Aside from the free POTUS tokens, players can also purchase up to 5 additional random POTUSes of common rarity for 0.125 Tez each per day. To make things more exciting, claims are limited to a total of 5000 per day across all players. Thus, it is imperative to claim the tokens as early as possible to avoid missing out. The claiming period resets each day around 12 PM CT.
The highest level in each series is a unique NFT. Basically, the game is a race to be the first to mint a “Unique” POTUS. As a bonus and incentive to be the first and only to mint these tokens, collectors will receive an automatic payout from the Treasury.
The Treasury accrues 20% of all claim and upgrades fees into a prize pool. Newly minted unique POTUS owners will each receive a 25% payout until the final (45th) unique POTUS token is minted. In effect, the final player will receive whatever is remaining in the treasury. Following this model, the collectors who successfully mint a unique POTUS will receive up to 10x the cost of minting in the payout.
The hook
The game is basically a race against the clock and has a built-in scarcity model. The limit of up to 10,000 tokens ensures scarcity in the ecosystem. According to the website, “With only 10,000 of each Common POTUS token available and upgrades requiring lower-level token burning, PixelPotus POTUS tokens will only increase in scarcity. Sporting a bold, unique, and inherent deflationary spirit to the game, eventually, there will be no more cards left to claim.”
Apart from the mechanics, PixelPotus is owning the customer experience. So far, the project is developing and implementing new feature requests at a fast pace thereby earning the community’s praise.
PixelPotus team has recently released V2, which incorporates the ability to set buy orders for cards alongside the current sell orders. Additionally, V2 revamps the player PixelPotus interface and improves upon all aspects of the rapidly growing NFT collectible card game.
