Just after a few days of buying NFTs featuring felines such as Cool Cats and Lazy Lions, Puma has now changed their Twitter PFP to a Cool Cat NFT. The sports brand also bought an ENS domain a while ago.
Puma bought Cool Cat #32 in February for 14 ETH. Apart from Cool Cats and Lazy Lions the company has also purchased a Gutter Cat Gang NFT.
For the uninitiated, PFP is an acronym for texting and social media. It means both picture for proof and profile pic. Several social media platforms including Twitter and Reddit, allow users to connect their NFT wallets to their Twitter accounts.
Puma is taking NFTs to new heights
After buying the above mentioned feline NFTs and an ENS domain, and changing their PFP, the company also hinted at joining the Metaverse. Given that, Puma announced a partnership with Lazy Lions, this also means we are likely to see new Puma projects featuring Lazy Lions NFT.
Moreover, the company hysterically asked their followers to name their new Gutter Gang Cat NFT. They tweeted “What should we name him? Kevin?!?”.
Well, if you don’t understand the context of the tweet, worry not. Let us introduce you to Kevin with this article. He’s definitely the new ‘talk of the town’ in NFT space.
The sports brand made the announcement on Twitter to its 1.8M followers. Afterward, the community welcomed the move with great positivity.
For instance, @artistmfer wrote, “There is a huge potential for fashion x NFTs.” By the same token, @GoodHearts_IO tweeted, “The unique outline and colour make @coolcatsnft stand out as a PFP for any scale of social media profile. This particular avatar is a great fit for @PUMA as a lifestyle brand.”
