Socios.com is a blockchain-based fan token platform. The fintech is now the official partner of the 2021 Ballon d’Or Awards. Basically, Ballon d’Or is an annual football award ceremony presented by a French news magazine.
The creators of Fan Tokens reached an agreement with Amaury Média, the Amaury Group’s advertising department : L’Équipe (newspaper, magazine), L’Équipe website, L’Équipe mobile app, la Chaine L’Équipe, France Football, le Journal du Golf, Vélo Magazine and le Ballon d’Or.
The blockchain platform will own brand visibility on the red carpet. The popular event will be held at Parisian Theatre Du Chatelet on the banks of the River Seine on November 29th. Besides, many big figures will join the event.
Particularly, socio.com will host 750 guests. Interestingly, the guests can take a picture with the iconic trophy. That’s not it, they’ll also get a chance to win a Fan Token from Socios.com.
Currently, more than 100 sports organizations support Socio.com. While some include FC Barcelona, Juventus, AC Milan, Arsenal, Inter Milan. Furthermore, national teams of Argentina, Portugal, Italy, F1, Esports, NBA also backs the blockchain platform.

Englishman Stanley Matthews won the first edition of the Ballon d’Or Awards in 1956. Subsequently, in 1995 the award expanded to all European footballers regardless of their nationality. Since 2007 it has been a global award for all professional players around the world.
Ballon d’Or Awards also launched Ballon d’Or Feminin to honour female players. Where Danish Ada Hegerberg won both the ‘Kopa Trophy’ for under 21 and the best female category. In 2019, Lev Yachine Trophy was added as the best goalkeeper category.
Due to the pandemic, these awards will be handed in this time on November 30th. Meanwhile, the ceremony will start at 8.30 PM (CET). Also, more than 832M people might join the event worldwide on social media channels.
