The rugby team Stade Toulousain officially joins the NFT market in partnership with Arianee. Their debut collection features 18,754 digital assets.
Surprisingly, the club will distribute the NFTs entirely for free. Its subscribed members will receive the collectibles first. Meanwhile, the remaining NFTs will be available via the Arianee QR technology.
How can you get a Stade Toulousain NFT?
This week, the popular rugby team Stade Toulousain announced its debut NFT collection. There will be 18,754 digital assets available – the same number as the seats at the Ernest-Wallon Stadium.
Accordingly, the subscribed club members will be the first to get an NFT. However, other collectors can get a digital asset too at the reception of Biarritz Olympique. They simply have to scan a QR code distributed by the Arianee platform. Nevertheless, the team will also offer QR codes during the final game of the season on June 5th.
Holders of these NFTs will gain access to the Stade Toulousain premium NFT collection. This future drop will consist of 1,907 digital assets – the same number as the founding date of the club.
Of course, each Premium NFT will bring valuable perks to its holder. For example, you will get a customized scarf and access to an exclusive community. Moreover, NFT holders will get a chance to win VIP videoconferences with Stade Toulousain players and tickets to upcoming matches.
Why did the rugby team partner with Arianee for NFTs?
Stade Toulousain aims to deliver unique experiences to its +10 million fans. The NFT collection can bring fans from all over the globe together, creating a valuable community.
Meanwhile, Arianee is an innovative platform that brings valuable brands into the web3 world. Founded in 2018, this is among the first companies dedicated to blockchain tech solutions. Therefore, its partnership with Stade Toulousain came “naturally”, as CEO Pierre-Nicolas Hurstel confirms:
“The leadership and strength of the Stade Toulousain brand, in world rugby and more broadly in sport, therefore made this NFT collaboration natural. Our turnkey solutions as well as Horrea’s support enabled us to implement this first foray into web3 very quickly. ”
To conclude, this collaboration will open new doors in the sports NFT niche. Stade Toulousain is the most successful French rugby club to date.
“It’s in the nature of Stade Toulousain to be a pioneer and to open the way”, says the Stade Toulousain President Didier Lacroix. “This is why we thought of a complete system, accessible to all and with very high added value for our supporters.”
Of course, Stade Toulousain isn’t the first rugby club in the world to tap into NFTs. In fact, the Rugby League World Club launched its own collectibles back in November 2021.
