What are the Starledger NFTs?
In essence, StarLedger is a collection of 5,000 NFTs built on the Ethereum blockchain. The collectibles represent digital replicas of real-life stars in The Milky Way. Impressively, the founding artists used 3D rendering, generative art, and magnitude calculations, each digital asset is a highly-detailed reproduction of the real-life astronomical bodies.
Therefore, the Genesis collection includes some of the most renowned stars in our galaxy. For example, collectors will find the North Star, Sirius, Antares, and more.
The community can check out each star NFT via the 3D StarLedger Star Map. There, you can discover fascinating information about the stars’ position IRL, as well as their history and traits. Who are the project founders?
StarLedger is created by a married couple of software engineers called Chris and Crystal. Chris, who has been in software for 25 years, entered the concept for StarLedger into a Metis Hackathon and won. Shortly after, they quit their jobs and used the prize money to hire a team and start building.
Shortly after coming up with the idea, the team expanded. At this moment, the fully doxxed team includes astrophysicists, software engineers, 3D artists, game developers, marketing specialists, writers, and more.
