If you like post-apocalyptic plots, cyber designs, and NFTs, The Tokyo Ten collectibles are for you. This impressive project includes 10,000 randomly generated NFTs from a dark, yet futuristic world. From robots to humanoid creatures, each hand-illustrated character is a visual representation of survival, hope, and vengeance.
Don’t rush to buy one, though! The first collection sold out within 24 hours after its October 13th launch. It’s a remarkable achievement that nobody saw coming. After all, the Tokyo Ten community had no more than 70 members eight days before the drop!
So what convinced so many people to get a Tokyo Ten NFT?
It could be the insanely detailed artwork, the utility token, or both. However, it always comes down to the story – so let’s hear theirs out.
The story of a post-apocalyptic cyber city
The 10,000 NFT characters of The Tokyo Ten come from a distant future – the 23rd century, to be exact. They’re some of the few survivors of an over-populated planet, which had surpassed 28 million inhabitants.
In 2253, the last governing body worldwide came up with a plan to leave the planet. They commissioned a Tokyo-based company, called Karoshi Industries, to develop essential vehicles and resources required for space exploration. In a tragic turn of events, the company ultimately became evil, killing almost everybody, and turning many inhabitants into creatures called Ghouls.
By 2261, Cyber Tokyo is the only place left standing. It’s divided into four classes, called Ghouls, Citizens, Hunters, and The Tokyo Ten.
Accordingly, nobody knows who The Tokyo Ten really are – but everybody admires them. In fact, this mysterious group created Hunters, and now they’re ready to destroy Karoshi Industries for good.
But what does the future hold for the Ten Tokyo NFT owners?
Project roadmap & NFT perks
First of all, each NFT holder receives ‘full commercial rights and ownership.’ In addition, owners gain access to exclusive Discord channels and the Syndicate – an educational channel featuring top entrepreneurs’ interviews and training.
Of course, community members get voting rights, as well as Raid Series access. This weekly lore is regarding the long-term conflict between Karoshi Industries and the Hunters class of Cyber Tokyo.
Reportedly, current NFT owners will also be able to attend the Karoshi Industries Expo 2261. In fact, the community itself will organize this exclusive virtual event for the next generation.
The project roadmap announces exciting things too, although there haven’t been any dates specified yet. Soon, the team will offer 5 ETH to all verified NFT holders. Next, there will be a Scavenger hunt in Cyber Tokyo, which will feature an exclusive “Fuminko” NFT (which is the leader of The Tokyo Ten).
At last, the project admins reveal a 3 ETH giveaway for verified NFT holders. In short, the roadmap will definitely accelerate the project’s progress, as well as collectors’ interest in The Tokyo Ten.
