After a tumultuous couple of days, Untamed Elephant Crew is officially under new ownership. The anonymous founder sold the project to Adam (@adamagb). Based on the announcement today, August 20, the founder has already transferred the smart contracts and social media accounts. So it’s a done deal and the herd is ready to stomp forward!
Untamed Elephant Crew is a Collection of 7,500 randomly generated NFTs based on 110 Different Traits. During the launch, the team advertised it as a project that will support the Elephant Crisis Fund.
Untamed Elephant Crew’s Transfer of Ownership
Adam (@adamagb) definitely saved the day! He bought the project because he saw the potential opportunities and believes that he can turn things around. To reassure the community, he shared his credentials and other NFT projects under his belt. He is the co-founder of Hello Fam which he described as a “well-funded NFT Project.” He also said that he has a team of six people, resources and connections to stage massive giveaways and promotions.
His first order of business is to “put the mind of the community at ease.” So he hosted an AMA on Discord. One of the major concerns is the funds from the initial drop. Unfortunately, the founder completely drained the wallet. The community also wants to confirm if the founder really donated $50,000 to the Elephant Crisis Fund. After all, one of the draws of the project is this charitable cause.
The community is responding well to the new ownership. NFT holders are praising Adam for taking the leap of faith. One user said, “Most of us here are stoked to see some fresh leadership step in here and correct the trajectory of this promising project. And as for the skeptics, I’m sure you will win them over in no time with good leadership decisions and team building.”
Of course, some remain apprehensive. There are users requesting proof of transfer and something concrete that shows that the new owner is not just an alternate account of the previous unhinged founder. Moreover, to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future, the community is rallying to set up a Decentralized Autonomous Organization.
NFT Takeovers
Adam (@adamagb) shared that he was inspired by what Ashley Smith (@iamboredbecky) is doing for Fame Lady Squad. The NFT project is also under new management after the epic saga of actual women taking over the collection from the Russian male developers pretending to be women.
The community is showing a lot of heart by not abandoning the project. This shows a stark difference between crypto holders and NFT holders. Crypto is a volatile market, so the natural reaction is to dump your holdings once there’s a negative signal. In contrast, NFT holders held on to their NFTs despite the unfavorable situations. This is because buying an NFT touch on the passion to collect things.
