This autumn, WAX is bringing back the ’80s with an exclusive NFT collection inspired by The Princess Bride. Movie enthusiasts will be able to start collecting favorite characters as a non-fungible token starting September 28th.
The Princess Bride, digitalized as an NFT
Did you spend the ’80s day-dreaming about the fantasy world of The Princess Bride? If so, we have some good news. Act III Licensing and Brand Management teamed up with giant company WAX to design an exquisite NFT collection dedicated to the movie.
Accordingly, creators will divide the collection into two drops, each featuring 900 card packs. Each card pack will include 10 cards, and collectors can purchase it for $100.
Much like other collectibles on the market, The Princess Bride NFT cards will also have different rarities: common, uncommon, rare, epic, and legendary. Of course, Legendary cards are the most valuable ones, with only 20 cards included in each drop.
In addition, Princess Bride NFT collectors will be able to join the special “A Royal Treasure” challenge. Basically, any collector who gets the complete set of Common designs will receive an extra pack for free. This special pack will also feature sketch cards that can’t be found in the regular card packs!
Hollywood joins the NFT market
The collectibles inspired by The Princess Bride are the latest addition to a bundle of Hollywood-inspired NFT collections.
Last summer, the movie industry celebrated Marilyn Monroe’s 95th birthday by launching an NFT collection inspired by the famous actress. What’s more, celebrity couple Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher also launched their first NFT animated collection called ‘Stoner Cats.’
