NASCAR has just made its debut in the blockchain-based digital horseracing game, Zed Run. The auto racing company had first announced its partnership with the game back in August. The move brings new NFTs, new aspects, a new racetrack, and more to the Zed Run universe!
What is NASCAR ZED Pass?
One of the most existing aspects of the Zed Run NASCAR partnership is the Zed Passes. A Zed Pass is a standalone NFT that rewards holders. Moreover, it comes with future in-game utilities and special benefits.
“Purchasing and owning a NASCAR ZED Pass will provide additional benefits on future exclusive NASCAR-branded initiatives including special airdrops, entry to exclusive events, and additional perks,” Zed Run wrote in a blog post.
Now, the two companies will launch the first special edition NASCAR Zed passes today (October 3) during the NASCAR Race Day at Zed Run. As part of this, a total of 1,000 passes are up for grabs.
The NASCAR Race Day is an event to celebrate the duo’s partnership. Here, Zed Run stable owners can race on the celebratory NASCAR Stakes racetrack. The participants stand a chance to win one of the 100 free Zed passes. The race, which kicked off at 12am EST on October 3 will end at 12am EST on October 4.
The remaining 900 passes are available for purchase on OpenSea. It is priced at 0.16 ETH or around $550.
Based on the Ethreum blockchain, Zed Run allows players to buy, race, and breed digital horses represented by NFTs. The project has been doing some exciting things in recent months. Last week, it had announced that it will be joining the cast of The Glue Factory’s animated series. All in all, Zed Run players have much to look forward to!
