Yuga Labs, the creators of the Otherside metaverse, have announced a second trip on March 25th! Excitingly, they are giving users another opportunity to explore this unique and immersive virtual world. With its stunning visuals and engaging gameplay, the Otherside has quickly become a popular destination for those seeking a new experience in the metaverse. Let’s take a closer look!
What we Know about Yuga Labs and the Otherside
Yuga Labs are revolutionizing the way we collect art and digital assets through the power of blockchain technology. With their groundbreaking NFT collection, Bored Ape Yacht Club, they’ve captured the attention of the art world and beyond. Each digital ape character is one-of-a-kind and owned by an individual collector on the blockchain, ensuring authenticity and ownership. Yuga Labs is leading the charge in the new era of NFTs, where digital content such as art, music, and video can be owned, traded, and sold just like traditional collectibles.
Their metaverse, Otherside, is just as exciting! Significantly, Otherside is Yuga Labs very own metaverse game. Otherside’s ecosystem centers on blockchain technology and digital communities, offering ownership opportunities of digital land and a native currency – ApeCoin. The currency is integral to Otherside’s economy, powering transactions and interactions within the metaverse. With ownership of digital plots of land, “Otherdeeds,” users can create their own immersive experiences and events.
Yuga Labs launched Otherside in an exciting teaser which broke NFT Twitter! Excitingly, the trailer also featured a Cool Cat and World of Women avatar alongside a Bored Ape. Additionally, Otherside held its first land sale for “Otherdeeds” in April last year. Each Otherdeed was priced at 305 APE, and all 55,000 were sold straight away. The sale generated a huge $300 million in revenue.
Enter the Metaverse!
So, how do we get to enter this exciting world? On Saturday, March 25, 2023 (exact time TBA), the highly anticipated 2nd Trip to Otherside will take place. Voyagers holding Otherdeeds can enter the experience 15 minutes before the start. However, they must make sure to arrive on time as the story begins. Guests are welcome on 2nd Trip, but priority access is given to those holding Otherdeeds. The official link to the experience will be provided on the Yuga News website. The team have reminded Voyagers and hopeful guests to stay safe and be aware of possible phishing or scam links.
In another exciting twist, those who attend 2nd Trip will be eligible to earn the FIRST TRIP Obelisk Piece. This piece was collected as part of the game in the first trip to Otherside. Unlike the first trip, the event will feature four Team Captains, who have yet to be announced. If you missed out on the first trip, or just can’t wait to dive back in, mark your calendars for March 25th. Get ready to explore the Otherside once again!
