Yesterday, LVMH nominated luxury wines NFT marketplace BlockBar as one of the potential candidates for the 2022 LVMH Innovation Award. Given that, BlockBar will be showcasing in the LVMH Lab at VivaTech, in Paris next month. The event will last for 4 days, starting from the 15th to the 18th of June.

LVMH shortlists BlockBar for the 2022 Innovation Award
Firstly, being shortlisted for the LVMH 2022 Innovation Award is no easy task. Only 21 innovative startups will get the chance to present with the LVMH Lab. And BlockBar is one of them.
Indeed, Dov Falic, CEO and co-founder of BlockBar sees it as an honor to be nominated by LVMH as an innovator in the luxury wines and spirits industry. In fact, working closely with the LVMH group will bring BlockBar one step closer to its goal. Which is to make luxury spirits more accessible to crypto-savvy collectors.
During the event, a panel of judges will select 6 startups to receive the award in 6 different categories as shown below. Out of the 6, only one of them will be the winner of the 2022 LVMH Innovation Award. In order to make the cut, BlockBar needs to present its vision of luxury to Livi – short for LVMH Innovation Virtual Insider, during the event.

Closing thoughts
All in all, as the world’s first NFT marketplace for luxury wines and spirits, BlockBar has been quite active in the NFT space. Apart from releasing rare whiskey NFTs, it has partnered with Monkey Shoulder to drop 100 Bored Ape-themed bottles to a few lucky owners of the BAYC NFT. Now coupled with the recent nomination by LVMH, we can’t wait to see BlockBar achieves greater heights in the future.
