If you love NFTs and are a Dolly Parton fan, then Dollyverse is for you! The country music legend partners with FOX Entertainment’s Blockchain Creative Labs and blockchain company Eluvio to give you a one-of-a-kind Web3 experience.
Web3 Concert and Limited-Edition Dolly Parton NFTs
Through Dollyverse, she will be releasing NFT collectibles, a new album and a novel with bestselling author James Patterson entitled “Run, Rose, Run”. There will also be a free live musical performance at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas.
The performance on Friday, March 18, will be Dolly’s first appearance during Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater. During the event, Connie Britto, who is an Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominee, will host the conversation as Parton and Patterson talk about the project. After that, Dolly will perform songs from Run, Rose, Run, and a few of her classic hits.
Fans can purchase official and certified NFT collectibles during the Livestream. They can also buy the limited-edition NFTs of the album and a limited series of Dolly-inspired NFT artwork. Her NFTs will run on Content Fabric proof-of-authority consensus blockchain and will be Ethereum-compatible.
A Treat for Dolly Fans, A New Discovery for Herself
Anyone attending her upcoming event in person is entitled to a free NFT. Streaming fans will also receive tokens as a confirmation of their participation.
“There’s almost nothing more important to me than connecting with my fans. And I’m almost always up for trying something new and different,” Dolly shared on her website. “I’d say releasing NFTs at my first ever appearance at SXSW, with James Patterson by my side, definitely counts as new and different!”
Dolly’s manager Danny Nozell believes that she is going out of her comfort zone to reach out to her fans in all generations. “Yet again Dolly is at the top of her craft,” Nozell said. “Her goal with new music has always been to use her gifts to connect with people. This partnership with BCL at SXSW, and the launch of ‘Dollyverse,’ provide her a totally new way to do that.”
More Musicians with NFTs and In The Web3 Soon?
Dolly is just one of the brave musicians who decided to venture into the blockchain and release her own NFTs. Who can forget Katy Perry’s “The Roar Package” NFT drop on Theta Network or Snoop Dogg’s NFT collection entitled “A Journey with the Dogg”. Maybe more singers and songwriters will be part of the Web3 and release their NFTs this year.
Even DJ Steve Aoki believes in the power and benefit of blockchain technology for those in the music industry. According to him, he made more money from NFTs than from 10 successful years on the stage. This only proves how NFTs can be profitable for artists.
The popularity of NFTs is because of the communities that wholeheartedly support the artists. Besides, releasing NFTs allows musicians to directly sell their work to fans without the need to go through record labels. Therefore, through NFTs, we can expect a new era for the music industry.
