Elite Womenswear Designer Kim Shui has partnered with VeeFriends to create the ‘VeeFriends x Driven Dragon’ apparel collection. The collection launched today, October 7, and is available only on Kim Shui’s website.
This is the second VeeFriends physical collaboration to come this month. Recently, VeeFriends by Gary Vaynerchuk teamed up with Macy’s and Toys “R” Us to launch exclusive physical collectables. The apparel collection by VeeFriends and Kim Shui includes Tees, Hoodies and Beanies. While the hoodies are worth $235, the tees sell $55, and the beanies, $48 at retail price. Each clothing item features the flying Driven Dragon, symbolising good luck, strength, and longevity.
The Dragon is the core of the Kim Shui brand. In fact, Kim had said that she chose the Driven Dragon character first because she could connect with it. In her words, “Drive is the primary component of the motif that I frequently employ in my work because without it, I couldn’t have advanced to where I am now”.
What is the Driven Dragon Collection?
Kim Shui used different quality materials to create the different wearables in the apparel collection. For instance, the hoodie consists of 100% Cream Cotton French Terry with an embroidered VeeFriends logo and Driven Dragon in silk thread. At the same time, the Tees are made of 100% Premium Cotton with a printed Driven Dragon Silk Screen. Lastly, the Beanies are 60% Polyester and 40% Acrylic.
Starting today, you can access the apparel collection exclusively available on Kim Shui’s site in sizes S to XXL. Also, Driven Dragon holders of VeeFriends Series 1 and 2 are eligible for the utility from the partnership.
For context, Core, Rare, Very Rare, and Epic Driven Dragon holders can claim one Tee and Beanie. Alongside this, all Series 2 Driven Dragon holders are entitled to claim one Tee. Furthermore, Spectacular Driven Dragon Holders (Bubble Gum, Diamond, Gold, Hologram, and Lava) can claim one Hoodie, Tee and Beanie.
Who is Kim Shui?
Kim Shui is a famous NY Womenswear Designer who has worked on several big projects besides VeeFriends. Iconic celebrities like Kylie Jenner and her daughter Stormi, Bella Hadid, Hailey Bieber, Solange Knowles, Cardi B, Gigi Hadid, and more, have been wearing Kim’s iconic clothing.
Moreover, she made it to Forbes 30 under 30 List in 2019. Apparently, this isn’t the first time the star fashion designer has come in contact with an NFT project. Earlier this year, Kim Shui worked with AFTERPAY to drop NFT “Keys” at New York fashion week.
