This April, the Non Fungible Conference (NFC) takes place in the capital of Portugal, Lisbon. It promises to be a jam-packed two-day event full of talks, panels, workshops, and parties that celebrate all things non-fungible!
An overview of NFC
On 4 and 5 April, the conference will take place at Pavilhão Carlos Lopes – an iconic venue in the heart of the European city. It will host over 100 speakers as well as 100 artists, who will share their knowledge with more than 1,500 attendees from all over the globe.
NFC will focus on four main tracks, namely, Gaming, Art, Collectibles and the Metaverse. It will explore the core foundations, the latest updates in these four tracks and what the future holds for these NFT spheres.
The line-up comprises the top players in the NFT space, including Sebastien Borget from the Sandbox, Brian o’Hagan from Sorare and Yen from World of Women. Other speakers include crypto art pioneer Kevin Abosch, Quasimondo, Magician Nahiko as well as The Guild.
What to expect from the Lisbon conference
First things first, attendees can mint or collect their NFT ticket, which was created in collaboration with Neurocolor and CRYPTO X ART. Furthermore, because of the current situation in Europe, 40 artists decided to follow Picasso’s path and create a collaborative piece, entitled “From Guernica to Kyiv”. The piece will be sold at the conference, with all proceeds from the sale going directly to the UkraineDAO wallet.
NFC will welcome cosplayers, with a cosplay competition taking place on April 4 and 5. What’s more, every participant will be airdropped a unique NFT cocktail in their ETH wallet.
When they go to the bar, they can display their QR Code ETH Address. An automated machine will scan the QR Code. After scanning the code, the machine will play an animation and display the Cocktail Artwork. Participants can then redeem the NFT for a cocktail at the bar.
One of the most unique aspects of NFC will be the NFC shopping district. The district will offer the opportunity to sell and present collections to a live audience from around the world in a unique space.
Another useful workshop is the Ledger Workshop, which will explore the basics of crypto and blockchain, talk about ownership, security, the various types of wallets, as well as introduce Ledger and Ledger Live. Through this workshop, attendees can learn about security threats and best practices in their NFT journey.
Art x NFC
Art will play a major role at NFC. 100 international artists will showcase their work in 3 dedicated art galleries. Additionally Argentinian artist Samot will paint two cars live at the conference. There will also be a POAP treasure hunt, with five POAPs hidden at the venue. Visitors can look for QR codes to scan and get their NFT artwork, created by artists from Art Can Die. Not only that, but there will be another treasure hunt within the OVR Play2Earn game, with artwork by Hermine Bourdin.
Last but not least, the official closing party will take place on April 5. It will take place in Estufa Fria, the greenhouse in the middle of Park Eduard VII. Attendees can expect art and music, as well as amazing artists from Party Degenerates.
