RSTLSS, a digital fashion label and co-creation platform, announced today they raised $3.5 Million during their seed round! The investment will be used to grow the team and refine their product for the go-to-market launch.
BITKRAFT Ventures led the seed round with participation from Rogue VC, Starting Line, Red DAO, and Venture Reality Fund. Angel investors include original socialite Paris Hilton; Twitch Co-Founder, Kevin Lin, and Managing Partner of EpyllionCo, Matthew Ball.
RSTLSS: A Platform for Multiverse Fashion
RSTLSS provides artists, brands, and influencers, the freedom and access to create and sell multiverse fashion, through an engaging, gamified experience. The platform also grows crypto-native brands and onboards traditional IPs into the metaverse via curated NFT drops.
The company’s mission is to help its users express their identities freely and fluidly. Through their platform they will allow users to create multiverse wearables, using limited edition licensed graphics, and contemporary designer streetwear. Aside from that, they can also sell their licensed artwork and wearables and evolve them into extra rare and valuable editions.
RSTLSS Founder and CEO, Charli Cohen said: “Identity is about expression and consistency. As we spend more time in virtual worlds, the ability to take what matters most to us across all the environments we exist in will be the expectation.”
“At RSTLSS, it’s our vision to remove the barriers for artists to create and monetize wearables and merchandise in the metaverse. At the same time, giving consumers ultimate control over their visual identities.”
Faye Maidment, Associate at BITKRAFT Ventures commented: “Ease of digital asset creation and customization in-game environments is still challenging. This is due to extreme high-touch onboarding of brands without an intermediary, high-skill level required for AAA digital content, and perceived lack of IP control.”
“RSTLSS makes it seamless for brands to access the metaverse in a scalable way while controlling their IP players to customize their wearables with limited edition graphics. At the same time allowing them to mint the design as an NFT, and creators to sell and showcase their designs virtually,” Maidment added.
About RSTLSS Founder Charli Cohen
Award-winning fashion innovator Charli Cohen founded the co-creation platform. Charli launched her first fashion brand at the age of 15. Then eight years later, she founded Charli Cohen, a “technical fashion” brand that blends high-performance fabrics with high-fashion design. At 27, she became part of the Forbes ‘30 Under 30’ list for Retail & E-commerce in 2018.
Now she creates multiverse fashion with IPs for in-game, AR, and VR. Her recent works are in collaboration with Assassins’ Creed, Pokémon, and Sanrio.
Charli is just one of the fashion industry leaders who plunged into the metaverse. Just recently, fashion brand Diesel dropped their phygital NFT wearables. Fashion designers Charles & Ron also announced their first NFT collection. Perhaps, the next big step for those in the fashion industry is to begin growing their virtual company, staying open towards the opportunities on the Web3.
